In the year 2020, during the COVID lockdown, everyone was staying at home, scared and only thinking about their own safety. At that time, we – Deepak Rijal and Akash Dhimal – sometimes went outside, and what we saw broke our hearts.
There were so many street animals like dogs and cows with no food and water. Everything was closed, and no one was looking after them. They were hungry, sick, and helpless.
We felt that we are all living beings on this planet. Just like us, they also feel hunger, pain, and fear. But unlike us, they couldn’t speak or ask for help. So, we started a small feeding program, giving food and water to street dogs and cows every day.
Slowly, people saw our work and appreciated it. Many kind people joined us as volunteers, giving their time and love to these innocent animals.
While feeding, we also noticed many dogs and cows were injured or sick. So, we started rescuing them too. We didn’t have a shelter, so we used our own house as a rescue center. It was difficult – neighbors complained about noise, and we had very limited space and money. But we didn’t stop.
We asked our team and volunteers to help collect some donations. Everyone was so kind and helped us without hesitation. But over time, many volunteers had to leave because of personal responsibilities, and only a few stayed with us.
In 2020, we finally registered All Care Nepal as a nonprofit organization so we could officially ask for support. After that, we organized rabies vaccinations, neutering campaigns, and more rescue work.
Since then, All Care Nepal has been a place of hope, rescuing injured, sick, and abandoned dogs, giving them medical treatment, food, shelter, and most importantly, a second chance at life. Every dog saved is a life changed.
Now, we are happy to say that we have our own shelter – a safe and loving home for voiceless animals. We treat, feed, and care for many dogs and cows.
But our work doesn’t stop with animals. All Care Nepal also works for the environment and people in need. We plant trees, clean nature, and help humans who are suffering too.
We are very thankful to all the volunteers, donors, and supporters who have helped us and stood by us. Without you, we wouldn’t have come this far.
We believe every life matters: animal, human, or nature. And with love and care, we can make a better world for all.
